BELGIAN STUDENTS IN ROTARY AFRICA
The monthly magazine Rotary Africa has published a picture of the Belgian students in the April copy of the magazine. The students and members are thrilled. And the write up about the students are just as exciting!

BELGIAN STUDENTS 2011
We welcome 10 Belgian students from the KHLIM University to Bela Bela who are part of the exchange programme between the University and the Warmbaths Rotary Club. The students, pictured here with club members and visitors from the Benoni Aurora Rotary Club, are in Bela Bela for 4 and half months doing their final year internship at various of our projects. Welcome to Tineke, Jana, Sanne, Dorien R, Dorien B, Jolien, Dries, Leen, Tom and Kaat.

CHRISTMAS MARKET HUGE SUCCESS
Our annual Christmas Market ran from 13 - 22 December 2010 at the Forever Resorts Warmbaths. We thank all of you for your support. The market was a huge success and this could not have happened without the support of our local businesses in Bela Bela, as well as the artists and crafters who took part in this event. SWEDISH RFE
President Joan Griessel and Treasurer Welsh Prinsloo recently took to the bush to entertain a team of Swedish Rotarians as part of the Rotary Friendship Exchange. Göran and Kerstin, two of the Swedes that visited, have already declared that they will be inviting President Joan to visit them in April and May next year as a thank you to our warm hospitality and fantastic Rotary spirit. Well done!

WISH COME TRUE
Recently our club posted the plight of Bridgette on our website - her wish for an electric wheel chair. Her wish has come true. We thank the anonomoys donor who heard our call and brought joy to Bridgette's life. Our sincerest thanks!

VISITOR FROM CANADA
Our club was recently visited by Rotarian Lawrence Beckett from the Rotary Club of Ingersoll, Canada. Lawrence, a dedicated Rotarian, visited our club for the second year in a row. One of our projects - to provide a local mining community with water and ablution facitilies - is co-sponsored by Lawrence's club. Lawrence did a site visit at the project and was very happy with the progress. Here he is featured with Nong Serote, Assistand Governer of Dist 9400, and President Joan Griessel.

2 NEW MEMBERS INDUCTED
On Thursday 9 September 2010, we inducted 2 new members to our club, Riana Stander and Val Lombaard. Riana is an accountant and Val a local business woman. We welcome them to our club and wish them a prosperous future with Rotary.

CLUB MEMBER'S DAUGHTER PASSES AWAY
Jermay Adams, younger daughter of Rtn Johan and Eva Adams, died in a car accident on 15 August 2010. She was 14 years old. The family wish to express their gratitude to all Rotarians in South Africa, Canada, USA and Belgium for their kind messages of condolence and sympathy. Jermay is sadly missed by all who love her. May she rest in peace.

NEW MEMBER LEIGH J GRUNDLINGH
Our newest member is Leigh J. Grundlingh. He was inducted on 29 July 2010 during a festive occasion. Leigh is a doctor in Physiotherapy. Here is is featured with President Joan Griessel and Rotarian Piet Burger.

BRAND NEW WEBSITE
Our website is complete! Since it launch we have been complimented by its great new look and being more user friendly! The last section to be uploaded was the "Projects" section. New to our website is the Christmas Market section, where you can fill in and submit your details online. Here you can read everything about this amazing project, and if you are a crafter, you can also apply online to be registered as one of our exhibitors for the upcoming Christmas Market this December.

PRESIDENT'S INDUCTION
On Friday 9 July President Joan Griessel was inducted as President for the 8th time. A PHF was awarded to Hester du Toit for her outstanding work in the community. Nong Serote, Assistant Governor, attended the ceremony.

ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR
PP Denise Hefer was honoured with the prestigious award of Rotarian of the Year for the Warmbaths Rotary Club at the President's Induction. Well done Denise!
